We are delighted to have been awarded Winner of the City Kids Magazine ‘Best School Menu’ for 2019.

Schools were invited to enter the competition, which opened last September, and we provided menus, images and pitches to support our entry. After being shortlisted, we were visited by two City Kids judges last month, Victoria Evans (Editor-in-Chief and owner of City Kids Magazine) and Beverley Turner (Broadcaster and owner of The Happy Birth Club). They were both treated to a normal Tuesday Lambrook lunch and enjoyed sampling all of the options available that day, which included salmon in caper butter, chicken wrapped in bacon, homemade scotch eggs, a fabulous selection of seasonal salads, pineapple cake and the extensive fruit bar. The judges were wowed by the “quality and selection of food” on offer and the “thought that went into every menu”.

We were pleased that Lambrook was the first school that the judges visited that day, so that they had enough room to enjoy all that was presented to them. The judges were not only impressed with the standard of the food provided, but also by the atmosphere of the Dining Room, as the children sat beautifully, showed exemplary table manners and engaged brilliantly with their fellow pupils and staff. Lunchtimes at Lambrook are certainly enjoyable experiences!

City Kids Magazine was founded by Victoria Evans in 2014 and is available in print across London, and online.
