On Saturday 23rd March, Lambrook entered their biggest team into the Core Judo Championships. Anja, Rafe, Wolfie, Ethan, Romilly and Dmitry entered as one team, representing Lambrook School.

Former British and Commonwealth champion and Founder/Coach of Core Judo, Jonathon Purssey said he was so impressed with the team from Lambrook, especially as many of the team were inexperienced at this level of competition “The Lambrook Team were absolutely immense; they fought with a player down for some matches and were so close to winning the final, coming second out of fourteen teams. En-route to the final, they won five matches with some excellent judo and great team spirit. They showed such determination and resilience as well as great judo.”

The final was extremely close, with Lambrook narrowly losing 2-3 in some very tight matches. This performance bodes well for the upcoming IAPS in May and Judo at Lambrook. Very well to the whole team on their Silver Award.
