I am so proud of each and every child and all that they have achieved both in and outside of the virtual classroom this week. Many of the children have been embracing our wellbeing focus and have been showing Acts of Kindness to others. I am sure that you will agree that Lambrook and indeed our nation, will be much kinder to one another and the wider world as a result of this unusual time. Our children have also been challenged about how they can still have a positive impact on the Environment whilst they remain at home, as our Eco Team delivered a most excellent assembly for us on Wednesday. They also shared some of the changes that the Coronavirus has had on our physical environment, with some surprising outcomes!

One thing that has really struck me is the creativity that all of the children show as they embrace their work and as they present their ideas to their teachers and the rest of their class; alongside their adaptation to new technologies, this period of remote learning has certainly developed skills which will give them all a great standing in the future.

We have an exciting creative focus next week with a Performing Arts theme. With online performances in music, dance and drama, sing along musical zoom sessions and even a relaxation vocal session for parents, there is a lot to look forward to. Music is simply wonderful for lifting spirits (unless you have to listen to my singing!) and I know that this will be a fantastic way to end this half of term, after a most extraordinary few weeks.

I hope you have a restful weekend.

Jonathan Perry
