It has been a glorious week, not only in terms of this amazing weather, but also in finally having nearly all of our children back at school again! The happy sound of children learning, both outside and in their classrooms, of games of cricket, rounders and ultimate Frisbee, and of children catching up with friends and colleagues, has rung throughout the school site, giving all a spring in their step.
The children have been amazing at adapting to their new routines, and have thoroughly enjoyed the different format to the school day. In the Prep School, they have thrown themselves into subject-specific academic projects; it is clear that the children have thrived over the past term, whether at home or at school, and are applying all that they have learnt now they are back together, collaborating as they write poems, investigate historical mysteries, engage with mathematical puzzles and even create their own theme parks!
I am sure that you, as parents, have enjoyed the change in dynamic too! I am incredibly grateful for your support as we run a slightly different programme over these final weeks, and for enabling our pupils to have the happiest possible ending to this rather unusual term.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
