Yesterday, the Performing Arts Centre was a hive of activity as we hosted a STEM partnership workshop under the guidance of our inspirational Head of Design and Technology and her team of helpers. Four visiting schools joined our Lambrook pupils for a day of stimulating activities, which included building a marble run roller coaster and a trebuchet; using teamwork as well as testing their skills and knowledge. I know that both the visiting schools and Lambrook truly benefited from working with each other and it was exciting to think that we are collaboratively encouraging our budding future scientists, engineers, mathematicians and technology experts.

It was also a pleasure to be present at a meeting with our LPTC on Thursday as we looked back at the many wonderfully successful events they had organised over the past year as well as looking forward to exciting events including the Summer Party, Lamfest and some even further ahead! This team of volunteers, under the leadership of Mrs Harrison, selflessly go out of their way to serve others and do an outstanding job in raising funds for the school and its pupils, as well as worthy causes and charities outside our school boundaries, whilst at the same time, bringing our Lambrook community here ever closer together. It was particularly good to reflect on the significant funds that have been raised in support of TVAP, a local charity dear to many families here, and the difference that the £25,000 will make.

I do hope that you have a happy and restful bank holiday and I look forward to welcoming your children back on Tuesday.
