The Lambrook community came together again this afternoon as almost 70 families joined Chef Simon and Miss Scarlett live from Lambrook’s kitchens for our inaugural Cookie-cook-a-long.
With ovens primed and recipe and ingredients weighed and ready to cook, the Lambrook kitchen and our experienced bakers at home wasted no time getting stuck in. The recipe is a Friday favourite at Lambrook as everyone knows that the breaktime snack at the end of the week is a delicious cookie treat. You can click on the recipe below for details on how to make the cookies for anyone who was unable to join today and would like to make them at home.
We were delighted to see so many pupils from Nursery to Year 8 confidently mixing ingredients, cracking eggs, and happily covered in flour as they cooked up a storm at home.
The end results looked every bit as good as the ones baked at school and we look forward to seeing children enjoying their break time snack outside in the grounds again next week. A huge thank you to Chef Simon and Miss Scarlett for hosting such a fun event to mark the end of our remote learning programme.
