This week, four Year 8 pupils were selected to represent Lambrook at the Salters’ Institute Chemistry Festival held at the University of Surrey. The competition was held in the Undergraduate Chemistry Laboratory and Lambrook were competing against a select group of schools.
After collecting the winning prize last year, the pressure was on for Lambrook! In the first challenge, the team had to use their investigation and forensic skills to identify a missing element. They worked extremely well together but unfortunately, were unable to retain their title in this category.
The second task was the University Challenge where our Lambrook Team had to produce a signature slime. Lambrook were truly inspired and designed a breakfast plate full of bacon and eggs and even tomato ketchup, all made from slime! The judges were clearly impressed and declared them out right winners!
