This week the children in Year one have been using stick and ink to draw penguins as part of their Polar topic. This was quite tricky but they all persevered and the penguins are looking great! They also painted an icy background by rolling and twisting their paintbrushes to achieve a different texture.

One of the children in Year 1 wrote a beautiful account of our visit to the Sea Life Centre last week.

In 2D we have been enacting the story of “The Rainbow Bear”.  We also acted out some movements of polar bears. Below 2P is acting out scenes from Michael Morpurgo’s The Rainbow Bear. Can you guess what they are showing?!

As part of our ‘Frosty Footprints’ topic, Reception has been reading ‘Robin’s Winter Song’ and RG painted some lovely pictures of robins.
