Admissions process
To register your child, please visit our registration page and complete our online form. We ask all families to register their child as soon as possible, although registration does not guarantee a place at the School.
We would be delighted to give you a taste of Lambrook life. We welcome applicants to an appointment with Headmaster, Jonathan Perry and a tour of the School, given by the Registrar, Penny Cardwell.
Prospective pupils will undertake a formal assessment day for entrance to our Prep School, which takes place up to a year before prospective entry. These typically take place at the following times:
- Year 7 entry – October
- Year 4 entry – November
- Year 3 and below – January onwards
During the day, the School will assess each child against a number of criteria that we believe are important to enable each child to flourish at Lambrook. These criteria include: academic ability, wider interests, character and general behaviour.
In the Pre Prep, Reception children are invited to attend a Story and Song Session where the Early Years team spend time observing and interacting with the children. Children wishing to join in Year 1 will be invited to a one to one assessment with the Head of Pre Prep. Those wishing to join Year 2 are invited to an assessment morning, where the Head and Deputy Head of Pre Prep will spend time getting to know the child.
Children joining Lambrook will be invited to the School for a ‘Moving Up’ morning, in advance of their starting in the September.
After assessment, the School may offer a place to the child. Following this, parents are asked to sign an online acceptance form and to pay a deposit to secure the place:
Pre Prep – £2,000.
Prep – Half a term’s fees (£2,000 of which is refundable when the child leaves the School – the balance deductible from the first term’s fees).
If there is not a space available, then the child will be placed on a waiting list.

A short commute from Windsor (and easily accessible from London, thanks to a handy bus service), this co-ed, flexi-boarding prep – steered by the delightful Jonathan Perry, has it all.
