Earlier this year, 4,000 children across the UK took part in the IAPS Swimming Qualifiers and Lambrook had the privilege of hosting one of the qualifying rounds in the Lambrook pool. 30 Lambrook pupils between Years 5-8 took part in this competition, with many of these entrants gaining Personal Bests and an impressive total of 6 of them qualifying to swim in the IAPS finals.
The London Aquatics Centre, host of the London 2012 Olympics swimming events, provided the perfect backdrop for this highly anticipated competition. The state-of-the-art facility, featuring world-class pools and impeccable amenities, created an atmosphere charged with excitement and anticipation. The cheers and applause from the enthusiastic crowd reverberated through the venue, adding an extra layer of motivation for all of the competitors. On arrival, pupils got changed and then had the opportunity to warm up in the Olympic Pool, which was incredibly exciting!
