At Lambrook we are committed to broadening educational opportunities and widening access to the School.

Thanks to the generosity and support of supporters, parents and the commitment of children and staff, it continues to be a privilege to work as a Lambrook Community as we seek to collectively make a transformational difference to those around us.

The impact that the Lambrook Foundation has already made has been nothing but transformational, for the pupils who have been enabled to attend Lambrook on bursaries, for the charities Lambrook has been able to support, both practically and financially, and for the work with partner schools, both locally and internationally.

Giving to Lambrook made sense….it offered so much to our children and to us as a family, and we wanted to give that opportunity to others in the future.Lambrook Donor

Providing transformational bursaries

Lambrook currently offers the following bursaries:

  • Full Bursaries – Lambrook is delighted that it has formal links with the organisation Royal Springboard. Through them, potential Year 7 pupil candidates are identified – these children are the kinds of children who would embrace all on offer at the school and would really flourish at Lambrook. Royal Springboard also work closely with Lambrook to ensure that these pupils have a fully funded place at a senior school to move on to after their time at Prep School.
  • General Bursaries – General bursaries currently allocated at Lambrook are assessed by an independent company which reviews the financial position of each applicant family. The bursary review process takes place early in the admissions journey and Lambrook aims to offer bursaries to those who would truly make the most of the Lambrook experience, but who would not be able to pay full school fees.

It is vital that our Lambrook pupils are outward looking, kind, balanced and socially aware in all that they do and we know that having pupils from a wide range of backgrounds only encourages this further.

Lambrook currently partners with around 60 schools in the surrounding area, sharing best practice and offering partnership days in subject areas including Maths, Music, STEAM, Geography, Sport, Languages, Science and Humanities.

“On behalf of our very happy Year 4 pupils, a huge thank you for welcoming us to Lambrook! Thank you for the really engaging and immersive activities that certainly encouraged all the children to work so happily and collaboratively together.” Visiting Teacher

As part of the Foundation, Lambrook partners with Hope Valley School located in South Africa. The emphasis of this work includes:

  • Raising funds for the school and any tangible projects
  • Sharing best practice
  • Using the opportunity to teach the Lambrook community more about a different school, country and continent

Over the past year, Lambrook has been able to raise funds for building developments and educational projects, providing a brand new minibus and an outdoor shelter for Hope Valley Farm School. Pupils are in touch virtually with their counterparts. Lambrook has been able to send pupils to Hope Valley in previous years and hope to be able to do this again in the future.

Each year, Lambrook has raises thousands of pounds for many local and national charities. Through both pupil and staff-led initiatives and joining in with national campaigns, Lambrook has supported over 23 charities over the past year, including, Genes for Jeans, Daisy’s Dream, The Royal British Legion, Children in Need, Thames Valley Adventure Playground, Macmillan Cancer Support and Place2Be.

There have been many other practical ways in which pupils have been able to support local charities, including filling Christmas Boxes, volunteering at a local food bank, spending time with residents at a partner care home and working with a homeless charity.

Lambrook has many links with its surrounding community:

  • Sharing facilities – including sports pitches and sports hall for groups and schools
  • Sharing training – working with local schools, facilitating training courses.
  • Sharing experiences – such as providing sports coaching sessions and hosting competitive fixtures and tournaments.
